The Victron Energy MultiPlus-II inverter/charger has all the features of the MultiPlus, plus an external current transformer option to implement PowerControl and PowerAssist and to optimize self-consumption with external current sensing. Selected MultiPlus II models have AS/NZS4777.2:2020 certification as independent supply inverter.
The GX version adds built-in device networking. The MultiPlus-II GX communicates with a solar charger, batteries, and other devices to control a grid-connected, off-grid, or remote power installation. Capable of parallel operation for increased power output, or battery charge-rates, the MultiPlus-II GX can also be configured for three-phase supply. A host of advanced features - such as uninterrupted power supply, setting load limits, and supplementing limited grid-power availability with battery power - can all be controlled straight from your phone or smart device. Remote monitoring is also possible.
Note that the same functionality (and more) can also be achieved by using a standard MultiPlus-II in combination with an external GX device (such as Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX), which in some situations provides better serviceability and flexibility for future upgrades).
